This position is located at our Fort Worth, Texas corporate office and has the potential to be a hybrid position with up to 50% remote work.
Corporate Audit Services (CAS) provides independent, objective assurance, risk identification and mitigation, and consulting activities designed to add value and improve the BNSF community. Our auditors have the opportunity to work across the company on a range of topics of significance and can expect to interact with various leaders including senior leaders at BNSF.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is a Staff Auditor position responsible for execution of analysis and testing as part of the internal audit process at BNSF.
- Manage work assignments and timelines.
- Develop detailed test procedures that address audit objectives and significant risks.
- Interpret and evaluate audit evidence.
- Document work performed with logical conclusions and the appropriate audit evidence and support.
- Present audit results, both in written and verbal formats.
- Track issues raised and ensure action plans are implemented.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Two years of audit, finance, IT, or related business experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Skill in delivering projects on-time/on-budget.
- Ability to document work performed in a clear and succinct manner that is sufficiently supported by audit evidence.
- Ability to analyze observations for root cause and draw conclusions.
- Ability to evaluate work processes and make suggestions or recommendations for improvement.
- Proven leadership experience and excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Willingness to receive constructive feedback.
- Proficiency in MS Office Applications (specifically Outlook, Visio, Excel, Word, and Power Point).
- Knowledge of audit standards and methodologies, railroad operations, generally accepted accounting principles, and security.
- CPA, CISSP, CISA, or CIA certification
- Knowledge of analytical techniques, programming, or system query techniques (Data Warehouse, SAS, TeamMate, Tableau, MS Access, SQL).
- Knowledge of SAP.
