JMM CPA is a public accounting firm that specializes in qualified retirement plan audits.  Our unique process and delivery model provides plan reporting well ahead of regulatory deadlines. We are currently looking for the right person to join our team as an auditor.

Opportunities exist in our Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Raleigh, Nashville, and Iowa offices.  Other locations will be considered based on candidate qualifications and business needs. 

Primary responsibilities include:

• Maintain client relationships through all aspects of the plan audit engagement
• Identifying and defining audit findings and providing appropriate solutions
• Timely completion of assigned audit engagements
• Gathering audit documentation and completing the audit engagement file
• Review Form 5500 and other government filings
• Managing multiple clients within established timelines

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Strong client relationship skills
• Ability to work as part of a team or independently
• Positive and professional attitude

Preferred Skills:

• Licensed CPA
• ASPPA and/or NIPA designations
• Three to five years experience in the qualified retirement plan industry demonstrating incremental growth in knowledge and responsibility
• Proficiency in Define Contribution and Defined Benefit plan administration and plan document interpretation
• Computer skills in Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Knowledge of retirement plan industry, ERISA, DOL & IRS regulations, and plan document issues
